Orbit’s revolutionary second generation collision avoidance system (BodyGuard) offers an important layer in risk management for many companies. BodyGuard collision avoidance system effectively lowers risk of collision by detecting close proximity between vehicles, machinery and personnel.

The collision avoidance system operates by setting up an “invisible shield” or anti-collision zone around any object, person or vehicle that has been fitted with a BodyGuard collision avoidance system. The size of this anti-collision zone is user-programmable from several metres to over 100m.
Whenever another object, also fitted with a BodyGuard collision avoidance system, enters the anti-collision zone an audible/visual alarm is activated to alert the operator to take appropriate action in order to avoid a possible collision with another object or person.
