OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors from Opal Environmental Monitors enable volumetric flow determination for industrial emissions license reporting by supplying continuous and individual measurement of flue gas velocity, temperature and pressure.
OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors are based on the proven techniques of differential pressure measurement using an automatic self purging pitot tube probe unit. This technology enables OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors to provide reliable, accurate air velocity measurements across a wide range of stack gas stream velocities and conditions.
OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors calculate the total volumetric flow(m3/hr) using the measured duct dimensions, and the result is based on the three measured components of DP, temperature and duct pressure in accordance with standard engineering formulae. The measured components are determined in accordance with requirements and guidelines of USEPA Performance Specifications #2 and #6.
OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors also feature an integrated auto purge capability to maintain reliability in dusty and wet process conditions, and an autozero capability to ensure zero sensor drift.
An integrated sensor probe for is provided with OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors, for obtaining complete stack air velocity, temperature and volumetric measurements.
The integrated sensor probe supplied with OPAL 300 Series velocity and temperature monitors offers the following features:
- Available in variety of probe insertion lengths from 250 to 3000mm
- Outputs for stack temperature, air velocity, volumetric flow and stack pressure
- Integrates with standard OPAL main control unit
- Available as second channel output for opacity monitoring system
