THE CP1H is the latest micro PLC offering from Omron Electronics . Supporting up to 40 local I/O (24/16 points), the CP1H occupies the small PLC market segment.
There are two main CP1H models: the X series with only digital I/O on-board and the XA series, which also come with 4 analogue input plus 2 analogue output channels using the latest screw-less wiring technology.
Up to seven I/O expanders plus two CJ1 modules can be added to all CPUs, giving a maximum of I/O count 180.
The CP1H uses the same system architecture as both the CJ1 and CS1, meaning programs can easily be transferred across the Omron PLC range. This means the CP1H supports the latest IEC61131-3 programming facilities via the fully featured CX-One v1.1 software package.
Many new features come with the CP1H - the most important is a USB port for greatly simplified computer connections. Windows' Plug-and-Play is used for easy installation.
Up to two traditional serial ports (RS232 or 422/485, in any combination) can be implemented by installing CIF modules. These ports can be used for Modbus-RTU and other connections.
The CP1H operates are very high speeds, with four differential-phase high-speed counters (operating at up to 100kHz) and four pulse outputs (operating at up to 50kHz).
The faultfinding facilities in the CP1H have also been improved by the addition of a double-digit, multi-purpose, seven-segment display.
All CPUs come standard with two analogue timers, one internal, the other external.
