A COMPACT, slim profile relay for 5A mains switching applications has been introduced by Omron that is suitable for use in industrial control relay banks.
Measuring just 7.2mm wide, compared to 10.3mm for standard versions, the new Omron G5NB-EU is a highly compact solution for resistive load and other applications where current levels are limited.
These include fans, water heaters and other small electric appliances.
Suitable for switching 5A loads at European 250V ac mains voltage levels, the G5NB-E carries VDE, UL and CSA approval. Highly efficient, it features a low power coil that draws just 200mW, to save power supply size and cost, and has tracking resistance that exceeds CTI250.
The relay does not contain lead or cadmium, and will meet the upcoming European environmental standards. Offered in SPST-NO form, the G5NB-E is available in PCB mounting form, and is sealed against flux contamination during assembly.
Voltages for the control coil are 5, 12, 18 or 24V dc. The relay can handle up to 1.25kVA at 90W, and has an electrical life of 100,000 operations at mains voltage.
