Omron Electronics has announced that its the latest instalment of its all-in-one programming package, CX-One v2.1.
CX-One supports virtually all of Omron industrial products including PLCs, HMIs, network configuration, temperature controllers, drives, servos, sensors and alike.
All software components have been updated to run under Windows Vista and to support the latest hardware. A free upgrade is offered on the web for registered v2 users.
CX-Programmer (for PLCs) has been updated to support the latest developments in IEC61131-3 programming, including SFC (Sequential Function Chart) and Structured Text (ST). Both array structures and string data types are now supported in CX-Programmer, for all PLCs.
CX-Designer (for HMIs) now supports NS screens with the latest firmware and drivers. The graphics library has been broadened, and new fonts and colours supported. CX-Designer now allows CAD files to be imported into screen display and has a machine navigator to display properties of more complex objects,
The inbuilt PLC & HMI simulators have been integrated so that PLC and HMI projects can be simulated simultaneously and interact fully with each another.
One can start the other and PLC hardware fault conditions can even be simulated. Also commenting information can be exchanged bi-laterally between the two editors.
