Now stocked by Omni Instruments Australia , PDFM3 portable Doppler flow meters are handheld, non-invasive, microprocessor based meters for measuring the flow rate and total volume of liquids flowing through process and effluent pipelines.
These Doppler flow meters are suitable for use with a wide range of liquids, provided they have a minimum concentration of 100 ppm of solids, or bubbles having a minimum size of 100 microns. This includes liquids such as aerated water, and liquids containing suspended solids, slurries and sludges.
PDFM3 flow meters are suitable for use in applications such as:
- mining slurries
- dredging slurries
- paper pulps; and
- water industry sludges.
They utilise a single clamp on sensor, relying on the non-intrusive Doppler principle to measure mean velocity. This makes these devices particularly useful as a temporary flow indicator or as a working tool to establish and verify flow conditions in field or plant installations.
Additional features of PDFM3 portable Doppler flow meters include:
- non-invasive clamp on sensor
- pipe size ≥DN25
- volumetric flow units of measurement
- metric and English units
- easy to use
- flow total and rate display
- long battery life; and
- a data logger option.
