OLIVER Footwear has released its new lightweight Smelter Boot, a specialty industrial footwear product, designed to protect employees in metal smelting, mining, forging, or any industry where there is a hot metal presence.
The boot has a host of practical performance and comfort features including a SOFTtrac dual density rubber sole which affords light weight, shock absorbing and hard wearing features with superior grip and abrasion resistance.
The new lightweight smelter boot has a heat resistant and flame retardant leather and a velcro closure system. It also surpasses the smelting industry dip test procedures.
The boot is also fully lined with a padded comfort collar, Keviar stitching and a toe bumper which protects against scuffing and premature wearing of the front edge of the boot.
An additional version is also available with a metatarsal guard.
Both versions of the Oliver Smelter Boot include the POWERtex impact absorption system which absorbs shock and powers each stride to help eliminate foot, leg and back fatigue and the incidence of heel strike.
A standard feature also is the Oliver NATUREform toecap which is shaped to suit feet dimensions and eliminate toe cap pressure on toes. The toe cap absorbs more impact and far exceeds the drop test requirements under AS/NZS 2210.2
