Oliver Footwear announces the release of a new range of safety footwear designed specifically for women.
Oliver’s PB 49 Series of women’s safety footwear, recently introduced into the Australian market, combines protection, comfort and style.
An established manufacturer of safety and industrial footwear, Oliver Footwear identified the need to create a range of footwear specific to the safety needs of women in workplace environments from resources and manufacturing to the services and hospitality sectors.
Oliver Footwear based the design of its new safety footwear range on feedback from female customers, who specified their requirements and also underlined the importance of comfort and safety. The design also features added arch support.
The Oliver PB 49 Series is available in six different styles including lace up, slip on, elastic sided, jogger and stylish cross strap, all made using water resistant quality leathers and uppers, and available in the metric size range 35-42.
Comfort, light weight, breathability and underfoot cushioning have all been factored into the design. Another important consideration was the need for slip resistance, with the new Oliver PB 49 Series featuring a dual density rubber outsole with a polyurethane midsole. The excellent slip resistance meets and exceeds the SRC slip standards. The anti-static sole also minimises any build-up of electrostatic activity at the workplace.
Key comfort features in the Oliver PB 49 Series safety footwear include proven combination of COMFORTcushion Impact Absorption System with cellular urethane and PORON protecting the heel and ball of the foot to reduce foot, leg and lower back fatigue; AEGIS Microbe Shield solution protecting against odour, staining and deterioration caused by bacteria and other microorganisms; footbed featuring perforated air channels to promote natural airflow and treated with AEGIS Microbe Shield solution to help maintain freshness; NATUREform safety steel toe cap with wider profile allowing greater comfort against all types of impacts; outer sole featuring superior cut, slip and crack resistance as well as heat resistance to 300°C of surface contact; and hardwearing and rubber outsole resisting mineral and organic oils and acids.
The new Oliver PB 49 Series safety footwear meets Australian and New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS 2210. 3.2009) and their International EN ISO and ASTM equivalents.
