Six stylish new safety footwear choices in the Oliver Footwear Gripthane II range have been released.
Designated as the new 33 series Gripthane II product range, the six styles feature a unique DDPU dual density polyurethane sole combining a shock absorbing low density polyurethane midsole and a hardwearing outer sole for the tough work site conditions.
A key feature is the mid sole extending deep into the cleat pattern, which provides both enhanced surface grip, especially in wet, damp or slippery surfaces and also assists with comfort by smoothing out each stride.
The newly designed cleat pattern of the sole sweeps away any surface moisture to provide a dry surface contact.
The sole combination is also resistant to temperatures up to 130 degrees C and to most acids, oils and alkalies.
The pattern also gives increased tread support under the arch of the foot while there is also a bevelled heel to enhance the grip.
The six style choices include a low cut jogger with silver fluoro trim, a hi-vis low cut jogger that has an orange fluoro trim for increased visibility, a traditional elastic sided boot with a smooth grain black leather upper, an ankle height jogger also with a black nubuck leather with silver fluoro trim, and two derby shoes with choices of either black or brown smooth grain leather uppers.
All six model choices have water resistant leather uppers and are fully lined with padded tongue and collar, while Oliver Footwear also covers all sizes from size 4 -13 with half size increments available from 6 ½ to 10 ½.
The new models are designated with model numbers from 33-611 to 33-654 and relevant information on each style is available on the website.
The unique Oliver safety footwear choices of a COMFORTcushion impact absorption system combining cellular urethane and PORON sole inserts provides superior cushioning and shock absorption to reduce foot, leg and lower back fatigue.
Safety protection is afforded by the wider profile NATUREform type 1 safety toe cap, which combines a wide profile and a latex toe cap liner which ensures that toes are comfortable and not in contact with the safety toecap.
In addition, the Gripthane II range has a three year HYDROstop guarantee against the effects of hydrolysis and microbiolic attack on the sole that is important in hot humid climatic zones.
According to Oliver Footwear, the new Gripthane II DDPU range affords stylish, durable and job site specific protective features including water resistance, hi-visibility and traditional comfortable safety footwear features for which the Oliver range has long been recognised.
