NUPAC Industries has introduced the Sigpack 203 high-speed flow wrapper, expected to become a favorite with smaller companies in Australia.
As part of the Bosch Packaging Technology group of companies, Sigpack Systems has a long history in the development and manufacture of flow wrapping machines.
Following a fact-finding mission to Bosch Packaging Technology in Singapore, Peter Grant, managing director of Nupac Industries, the Australian agent for Sigpack, was impressed with the build quality, heavy duty design, and finish of the machine.
"The Sigpack 203 high speed flow wrapper has been designed and built in Singapore to meet European standards," Mr Grant said. "It has been well thought-out, operation and user interface is simple, but the thing that impressed most was the extensive list of standard features."
It is the number of standard features that sets the Sigpack wrapper apart from the competition and some of these include double film roll spindles with automatic film splicer, an electronic eye for print registered film, two-up crimpers and zig-zag knives, and a touch screen monitor.
"By far the most impressive feature of this machine is that it comes standard with an automatic in-feed system,” Mr Grant said.
Traditionally, automatic in-feed systems have been an expensive extra and this additional cost has been prohibitive for smaller companies looking to install a flow wrapper.
"The Sigpack flow wrapper offers a fully automatic in-feed system to suit any application at very competitive prices, delivered and installed," Mr Grant said. "This is a huge advantage and really makes this type of machine cost effective, ensuring a broader customer base."
