Function/Applications
Allied Data Systems supplies products that interface to Military and Avionic Data Buses for use in Aircraft, land vehicles and Ships. Military Data Buses supported include MIL-STD-1553, Rugged Ethernet, Rugged Fibre Channel and Navy Tactical Data Systems (NTDS). Commercial Avionic Data Buses supported include ARINC 429 and ARINC 629. Products supplied by Allied Data Systems for these Military and Avionic Data Buses includes Cards, Integrated Circuits and software, including Intellectual Property (IP), from suppliers that include Data Device Corporation (DDC), Beta Transformer Technology Corporation (BTTC) and Titan L3 Communications.

New product developments in military Data Bus from DDC include high performance 1553 (HyPer1553). Hyper1553 passes high bandwidth data across existing 1553 data buses.

Military Data Bus systems described by the NTDS standard including types A/B/C and Type E buses are supported by board level products from Titan L3 Advanced Products Division.


Differentiating Features
Existing 1553 and ARINC parts along with the newer rugged Ethernet and Fibre Channel components from DDC assure not only rugged components and boards but long term availability as DDC owns the IP for these products.

The new RD-19240FS-100 resolver-to-digital converter is highly repeatable to 1LSB in 14-bit mode and contains programmable features such as resolution, bandwidth and tracking rate, which allow for strong dynamic configurability.

Data Device Corporation (DDC), represented in Australia by Allied Data Systems, have introduced newly enhanced Software Development Kits (SDK) for MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 data bus applications. The SDKs allow users to develop ‘C’ source code to simulate, monitor or troubleshoot 1553 and/or 429 data buses simultaneously or independently with support for the latest operating system versions including VxWorks 6, Linux 2.6 and Windows 2000/XP.
