Timber Top floating floors, available from Northern Rivers Timber , form a quick and easy solution to create timber floors in the home or office. These floating floors are available in a number of different species and sizes. The timber floors are available in Australian species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum as well as imported species such as Nyotah and Brazilian Cherry. The board sizes have width that range from 82mm to 145mm in width. The larger size (one strip board) adds a classic and elegant style to a room, while the three strip boards divided into 60mm panels, can create an illusion that makes a small area look larger.

The easy-to-lay planks begin with a 3.5mm of solid hardwood with a 6 coat wear resist, UV acrylic at a 65% gloss level followed by a 9.5mm middle layer of plantation grown timbers. Different interlocking systems are available which include tongue and groove profile or the Uni LOC system.

Timber Top floating floors are appropriate for all styles of home or office and especially suitable for apartments. The lengths of these floors are up to 1.82m and come in manageable boxes thereby making the floors very easy to carry up stairs or into lifts within apartment blocks.

Timber Top floating floors are easy to install and can be laid by a professional or experienced handyman. As the product is already pre-finished, no onsite sanding and polishing is required. The installation process begins with a 2mm foam underlay to act as a barrier or subfloor with the timber floorboards laid on top. Finally, to finish, a 19 x 19mm scotia is fixed around the edges of the floor to create an attractive skirting.
