DriveMaster two-speed fan drive clutches from Norman G Clark alternate between eddy current and spring actuated cooling for precise, highly-efficient temperature control and reduced operating noise levels. Under most operating conditions, the DriveMaster Two-Speed Fan Drive is powered by eddy current. This turns the fan at a lower speed, which reduces operating noise, increases available horsepower for auxillary systems and minimizes radiator abrasion from dust and debris. When additional cooling is needed, the DriveMaster Two-Speed spring actuates and runs the fan at full input speed.

Benefits of the two-speed fan drive clutches include:

  • Precise temperature control; ideal for vehicles with little or no ram air
  • Improved fuel efficiency
  • The two-speed fan drive clutches offer faster engine warm-ups in cold weather
  • Quicker response to cooling needs
  • Higher torque for larger fans and higher ratios
  • Less radiator abrasion from dust and debris
  • Superior operating efficiency and performance
  • Two- speed fan drive clutches offer up to 50% less noise
  • Less wear and maintenance; higher reliability
  • More available power to haul up steep inclines
Applications of the DriveMaster two-speed fan drive clutches from Norman G Clark include use on buses, truck cranes, rear-engine cement mixers and other on- and off-highway equipment without ram air. DriveMaster two-speed fan drive clutches deliver superior horsepower performance, less noise, more power and increased efficiency. A vehicles’ performance can be enhanced through the implementation of a DriveMaster two-speed fan drive clutch.
