UP to seven million configurations of the new VM10 valve island from IMI Norgren can be individually specified using a web-based configurator which also produces customised 2D and 2D CAD models.
At the heart of the VM10 range is a 10mm width valve made from a special grade of engineering polymer. Norgren says with flows of up to 430 litres/min mean it could replace heavier, bulkier and more costly 16mm and ISO valves in many applications.
The valve body is made from high strength polymer, is lightweight and resistant to washdown chemicals. With 260 different valve options, seven million configurations are possible including multiple wiring options, 2-20 individually wired stations, 4-16 Multipole stations, 4-16 Fieldbus stations, 7 Fieldbus protocols, multi-pressure options and six port sizes in metric and imperial units.
The valves also come ready packaged with push-in fittings to cut assembly time.
System designers can configure valve design options from Norgren's website including downloading customised 2D and 3D CAD drawings and valve technical data.
