NORGREN has introduced a range of ISO/VDMA standard cylinders that are manufactured in Australia in stainless steel. End caps, barrel, piston rod and tie rods are manufactured in 303 and 304 stainless steel.
This enables the cylinders to be used in harsh environments. Fortunately most aluminum cylinders that are installed in Australia today are to the ISO 6431/VDMA standard.
This enables existing cylinders that are suffering from corrosion to be easily changed out with a stainless steel version using existing mounting centres.
The KA/8000 stainless steel cylinders are manufactured by Norgren in Melbourne to the customer's stroke requirement in 32 to 100mm bore sizes. The range includes ISO stainless steel mountings.
The stainless barrel enables the cylinder to operate up to 16 bar pressure. Polyurethane piston seals enable the cylinder to perform well in either lubricated or non-lubricated systems that are often required in food and beverage process and packaging applications.
