NETTEST has announced the addition of new testing features for GPRS networks to its LITE 3000E handheld network testing instrument for fixed and mobile networks.
The LITE 3000E is the first in its class to offer all-level signaling decode of the GPRS Gb interface protocol for GSM/GPRS operators.
Future releases will add decode of vendor-specific GPRS A-bis protocols, making the LITE 3000E a complete handheld test solution for the installation and maintenance of GSM and GPRS networks.
NetTest's LITE 3000E is the most comprehensive portable testing solution available for the installation, operation and maintenance of transmission lines. The product offers across-the-board testing capabilities, including frame relay, data and 2Mbps transmission lines.
With advanced A-bis, SS7 and ISDN signaling analysis capabilities, the LITE 3000E enables users to measure numerous protocols from one portable platform.
The new GPRS Gb protocol decode option allows customers to monitor signaling on the frame relay based GPRS Gb interface during installation as well as live traffic during normal operation, providing essential information for the maintenance and troubleshooting of GPRS networks.
· All-level decodes of unencrypted signaling information on GPRS Gb interfaces.
· Powerful statistics on the signaling information on GPRS Gb interfaces.
· Search of frame relay channels on the GPRS Gb interface.
