SANscreen product suite available from NetApp
NetApp has announced that the SANscreen product suite, which was acquired in the acquisition of Onaro, is now available through NetApp's global sales and channel partner programmes. In addition, more than 100 current SANscreen customers will benefit from NetApp's global 24x7 support organisation.
SANscreen is a product suite that extends data centre automation to storage with its real-time, heterogeneous, service-level views of the storage environment.
SANscreen allows customers to manage storage as a true end-to-end IT service, which reduces capital and operational costs and improves application service quality.
Furthermore, its actionable service-level information can be leveraged by both storage teams and non-technical storage users, effectively integrating storage into the entire IT service delivery chain.
"We have spent the last three months integrating SANscreen into NetApp product operations," said Patrick Rogers, Vice President of Solutions Marketing for NetApp.
"With the integration now complete, we are able to extend the capabilities of SANscreen to more customers worldwide through our global sales channels. Also, SANscreen customers will now be able to benefit from NetApp's extensive support infrastructure."
The SANscreen product suite includes Service Insight, Service Assurance, Application Insight, Replication Assurance, Capacity Manager, Provisioning Manager, and VM Insight.
Earlier this year, SANscreen Application Insight received the Bronze Award in the Storage Software Management category of the Storage magazine-SearchStorage.com "2007 Products of the Year" awards.
SANscreen is currently in production in over 30% of Fortune 50 companies. Customers have successfully scaled SANscreen to support environments from 500 to over 70,000 ports.
