Network Appliance expands New Zealand team and opens Wellington office

Ngahuia McNabb

Network Appliance  has expanded its New Zealand operation, including opening a Wellington office, appointing Ngahuia McNabb as Wellington account manager, and appointing new technical staff.

This announcement comes as NetApp works to meet local market demand in New Zealand and provide a local resource to service customers in the Wellington area.

In her newly created position, McNabb’s key responsibilities include driving new business and managing channel operations in Wellington.

Her new role will see McNabb working to nurture existing relationships with local customers and partners, and to recognise and capitalise on opportunities for business development.

Before joining NetApp in January 2007, McNabb worked at Vodafone focusing on acquisition and government business and led her team to secure one of the company’s largest account wins of 2006.

Prior to this, McNabb spent three years at Dell, winning the A/NZ Top Sales Representative of the Year award for 2003 and 2005. Her career has also seen McNabb spend seven years with Lexmark, in various sales roles.

Peter O’Connor, managing director for NetApp Australia and New Zealand said, “Today’s announcement is a reflection of the need in the local business market for the solutions and service NetApp provides to its customers”.

“It’s a natural progression for us to open a Wellington office, because we have several key customers in that market, including several New Zealand government accounts and Weta Digital. Now, we are able to provide them with a dedicated local resource on the ground in Wellington”.

“Ngahuia brings with her a proven strength in our target areas, so we look forward to strengthening our customer and partner relationships locally.”
