Historically it has been close to impossible to integrate third party software or applications with JD Edwards.
However, Ndevr has decided it is time to let the cat out of the bag and it has been integrating all sorts of things directly with JDE for its clients for around 8 years.
The Ndevr Integration Suite or NIS, available from Ndevr, enables developers of 3rd party systems to easily perform a process or gather information from JDE without the need to understand the JDE system peculiarities such as JDE date structures, math numeric’s, business unit formats, etc.
NIS also eliminates the need to use JDE Z-tables and can be tailored to work with JDE system modifications that have been made specifically for the business.
Essentially this is a SOA solution for JD Edwards - it will enable people to prolong the life of their existing software - and yet if the user wants to upgrade to the next version of JDE it means that implementing the upgrade becomes cheaper, faster and easier, as less JDE specific modifications are required.
Examples of products one can integrate with JDE include Mobiles/ PDA's/ Websites/ Siebel CRM/ RF Scanners/ 3rd Party Software and In house developed applications.
NIS provides seamless integration, is scalable up and out and is able to be installed quickly and easily with minimum fuss, and can even be handled remotely if required. NIS is compatible with JDE version XE onwards.
