NAYLA , manufacturer of hygienic cleaning tools and food handling equipment, will introduce a new collapsible bulk bin at FoodPro 2002, which slashes the transportation volume of empty bins by around 60 per cent.
Believed to be the first of its kind in Australia, the KitBin is made of high-density polyethylene and withstands temperatures of –40°C to +60°C.
The KitBin can be collapsed and then rebuilt in less than a minute, and can hold weights of up to 600kg. One side of the bin can be removed for easier stacking and unpacking.
Nayla was the first Australian company to expose the marketplace to food-grade polypropylene handling equipment, and the first to introduce a new metal-detectable polypropylene range, which can be identified by metal detectors used in production areas.
FoodPro 2002 is Asia Pacific's largest food processing trade exhibition, being held at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre from July 21-24.
