This year’s National Manufacturing Week will have a range of interesting and informative events and conferences.
On Tuesday May 8th the Hon. Andrew Stoner, Deputy Premier of New South Wales and Minister for Trade and Investment and Regional Infrastructure and Services, will address the Western Sydney Manufacturing Leaders Forum.
This will be followed by a panel discussion by industry insiders including Chris Williams, General Manager, HiFraser Group, Stephen Galilee, Chief Executive Officer, NSW Minerals Council and Richard Reilly, Chief Executive Officer, Federation of Auto Products Manufacturers.
On Wednesday May 9th, John Duddy, Managing Director, Boeing Aerostructures will deliver an engaging and educational presentation detailing how manufacturing businesses can continue to thrive in the future.
Mr. Duddy will discuss a range of strategies and initiatives that can be used by the manufacturing industry to survive amid growing domestic and international competition. These relate to the areas of reinvention, technology, collaboration and sustainability.
Following the presentation, Mr. Duddy will invite delegates to participate in a range of roundtable discussions and interactive case study workshop sessions in an attempt to help them find solutions to the concerns facing them in today’s challenging environment.
The 2012 National Manufacturing will run from Tuesday May 8 through to Friday May 11 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
