Events at the National Manufacturing Week 2011 (NMW 2011) came to a successful close last week, with organisers Reed Exhibitions announcing an increase of over 25% in visitor attendance and great exhibitor outcomes from the combined event with their partners, Austech and Ausplas.
The dates for National Manufacturing Week 2012 have been announced and the trade event is scheduled for May 8 – 11, 2012 at the Sydney Olympic Park.
Speaking on NMW 2011, Exhibition Director Paul Baker said that visitors were actively seeking new products and services in addition to exploring opportunities and strategies for creating new sources of competitive advantage in the manufacturing industry.
While figures for NMW 2011 are yet to be audited, the initial statistics show that the Melbourne exhibition attracted over 13,000 Australian and international attendees.
NMW 2011 attracted a high calibre of visitors, including from the government and private sectors with a significant presence of business owners and shop floor workers in addition to directors/CEOs, engineers, tradespersons and factory floor managers among others.
Exhibitors also recognised the real strength of NMW with its ability to attract the key decision-makers from various companies and help in lead generation.
