Hanna Mig will stage interactive demonstrations showcasing their newly released MIG Torch T-Series and GD120 Gas Lens Diffuser and Flexeneck during National Manufacturing Week 2009 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Developed by Richard Hanna, Director, Hanna Mig, the range is designed to increase productivity while completing high quality welds without imperfections, porosity and gas pours.
Other features of the range include:
- Protection from wind flow in large workshops and on-site situations exposed to the elements
- Up to 40mm extended stick out
- Ability to weld at acute angles and in all positions in restricted areas
- Significant gas savings
- X-ray quality
- Enhanced root run fusion
- Increased operator productivity of up to 100% over TIG welding
The new range was developed after Hanna Mig observed that while new-generation, low-spatter, MIG power sources delivered superior control of the weld pool, a standard MIG torch was unable to deliver the length and span of gas cover required to consistently produce x-ray quality welds, particularly when wind flows were present.
Welding with the Hanna MIG gas diffuser helps to deliver flawless, x-ray quality welds at up to twice the speed of current high-quality welding techniques.
The patented design of Hanna Mig gas lens diffuser ensures a laminar gas flow, undisturbed by the filler wire. The filler wire is fed through the centre of the diffuser and the gas stream protects the weld and enhances the wetting action.
