EDITORS of Test & Measurement World have selected National Instruments TestStand 2.0 as a Best in Test 2002 recipient and as a finalist for Test Product of the Year 2002.
In recognising NI TestStand as a Best in Test product, editors at Test & Measurement World noted the built-in productivity tools of the test management software.
With TestStand, engineers have an off-the-shelf, flexible software environment for manufacturing that improves their equipment utilisation while lowering their cost to test.
"Each year, technical editors at our publication choose a group of new products in the electronics, test, and measurement industries that stand out for their innovation and usefulness, and it is a high achievement to be selected a Best in Test winner," said Roy Forsberg, publisher of Test & Measurement World.
"NI TestStand 2.0 stood out because its parallel test support, which enables users to run both batch and asynchronous tests, proves particularly helpful to test engineers on the manufacturing floor."
Originally introduced in 1998, manufacturing customers in a number of industries, including communications, automotive, and consumer electronics, have used NI TestStand to meet their test management needs. NI introduced version 2.0 of the software in April 2001.
Test & Measurement World publishes its list of best products in December and asks its readers to choose from among them the Test Product of the Year. Ballots are mailed with the magazine's December issue. The results will be announced later this year. National Instruments 03 9879 5166.
