NI VeriStand 2010 is a ready-to-use software environment from National Instruments Aust & NZ designed for configuring real-time testing applications including hardware-in-the-loop tests.
The NI VeriStand 2010 includes enhancements that expand its capabilities for HIL tests and real-time testing by supporting high-performance, multiple chassis PXI systems and low-cost, ruggedised options using NI CompactRIO as well as NI Single-Board RIO hardware deployments.
NI VeriStand 2010 also features enhanced connectivity with NI LabVIEW, making it easier for engineers to reuse existing software and further customise their NI VeriStand applications.
- Out-of-the-box ready-to-use software environment helps configure stimulus generation, data logging, calculated channels and event alarming
- Imports control algorithm and simulation models from a variety of modelling environments including NI LabVIEW graphical development environment and The MathWorks Simulink software environment
- NI VeriStand software can be customised and extended using software environments such as LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, ANSI C/C++ and Python
M.A. Pires, testing device development coordinator for Embraer says that they selected NI VeriStand for their Legacy 500 Iron Bird because of the breadth of functionality the environment provided out of the box, which significantly reduced their development efforts.
NI VeriStand 2010 adds native support for reflective memory interfaces to deterministically share data between real-time PXI systems for high-performance applications such as iron bird aircraft simulators and electronic systems integration test systems.
NI VeriStand 2010 can automatically create the reflective memory routings between PXI systems, reducing the potential for development errors and helping engineers quickly get their applications up and running.
According to Guilherme Seelander, software integration senior engineer for Embraer, the ability to add functionality using LabVIEW and other software environments helped them customise their simulator to precisely meet their future application needs.
NI VeriStand 2010 applications can be run on most CompactRIO or NI Single-Board RIO systems for low-cost or rugged applications such as desktop simulators and test cell applications.
