NI USB Machine Condition Monitoring (MCM) System

The NI USB machine condition monitoring (MCM) system is a complete sound and vibration solution for portable machine diagnostics and online machine condition monitoring.

Features

  • Complete USB-based machine condition monitoring system
  • Industries include power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, and refineries
  • Features 16 accelerometer/microphone, 4 proximity probe, and 8 tachometer input channels
  • Expandable from 4 to 32 total channels
  • Up to 24 bits resolution and 102 dB dynamic range

This system monitors assets including the following:
Turbines , Generators, Compressors, Blowers, Pumps, Motors, Boilers, Piping, Valves

Software
The NI USB MCM system comes with the easy-to-use NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite, which is the most comprehensive collection of NI analysis and signal processing tools for MCM.

This software contains analysis functions including spectral analysis, level measurements, order analysis, waterfall plots, order tracking, shaft centerline measurements, and Bode plots.

Hardware
The NI USB MCM system features 16 accelerometer/microphone input channels, four proximity probe input channels, and eight tachometer input channels. However, the system is configurable for any combination of up to 32 channels.

The accelerometer/microphone channels offer software-selectable IEPE signal conditioning, 24-bit resolution, 102 dB dynamic range, 51.2 kS/s maximum simultaneous sampling, and antialiasing filters.

The system also provides mixed-measurement capability for temperature, strain, voltage, and other process variables.

The NI USB MCM system is based on the NI CompactDAQ platform, which offers the plug-and-play simplicity of USB to sensor and electrical measurements on the benchtop, in the field, and on the production line.

By combining the ease of use and low cost of a data logger with the performance and flexibility of modular instrumentation, NI CompactDAQ delivers fast and accurate measurements in a small, simple, and affordable system.
