NATIONAL Instruments has announced its highest channel count, most accurate, audio and vibration measurement device for desktop computers - the NI 4472 for PCI.

With 24-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), the NI 4472 for PCI is one of the most accurate products available for audio and vibration applications, delivering 120dB of dynamic range across a bandwidth of 45kHz.

The board features eight simultaneously sampled analog input channels and built-in programmable ICP conditioning for accelerometers and microphones.

The board's real-time system integrated (RTSI) bus delivers powerful integration with NI computer-based instruments, data acquisition, motion, and vision products so engineers and scientists can create custom measurement solutions.

Users can combine the NI 4472 for PCI with powerful software tools such as NI LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, LabVIEW sound and vibration toolset, and LabVIEW order analysis toolset to perform a variety of tests.

These include fractional-octave analysis, spectral analysis, joint time-frequency analysis (JTFA), order analysis and extraction, and sound-level measurements.

Engineers can use these tools to create complete test systems for applications such as noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) testing, machine condition monitoring, and audio testing. National Instruments 03 9879 5166.
