ENGINEERS can use the new National Instruments Measurement and Control Designer 2004 CD to select the best software and hardware for their test, measurement and industrial control applications.
The CD interfaces with an online advisor at www.ni.com/advisor to generate hardware and software recommendations based on application requirements such as temperature range, shock, vibration, determinism and I/O signal types.
Engineers can specify their controller, I/O modules and signal conditioning options, as well as design complete SCADA systems using the advisor.
The CD also includes hundreds of helpful resources and tools to reduce setup time and costs -- including example programs, video tutorials, application notes, white papers and customer solutions.
Engineers can access detailed descriptions of new NI products, such as industrial digital I/O boards and Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O, and choose from a language selection of English, traditional and simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
