National Instruments has announced the release of six new Drivven C Series engine control modules, which provide engine researchers with rugged, modular engine-specific I/O for interfacing directly with internal combustion engine subsystems and actuators.

These engine control modules are programmed with LabVIEW FPGA, allowing engineers to rapidly prototype engine control algorithms without the need to create custom hardware or request lengthy code changes.

Engine interfaces can thus be changed in seconds by leveraging the plug and play I/O flexibility of these new engine control modules.

Further, the LabVIEW system design software provides researchers with a great deal of flexibility with engine parameters such as spark and fuel injection timing.
