Nachi has launched the SJ series to undertake automated robotic handling of glass substrate. This series can effortlessly handle large glass sheets (ninth generation: 2800 x 2400 mm).
With the penetration of digital consumer electronics including flat screen television and computer monitors, market for LCD panels continue to expand. In order to enhance productivity, to reduce cost and to enhance yielding percentage, glass substrate is getting larger. Transfer robots for glass substrate are increasingly required to be larger in size and transfer at higher speed with more accuracy.
Nachi SJ125C robot is a clean room ninth generation glass substrate handling robot with a payload of 125kgs (highest in the world for glass substrate handling robot). SJ125C can accommodate an optional 2nd arm taking its payload capacity to 210kgs. The following is a list of different robots in this series.
SJ25C: Fifth and sixth generation glass substrate handling with 25kg payload
SJ80C: Seventh generation with 80kg payload
SJ120C: Eighth generation and ninth generation with 120kg payload
SJ series operate very fast with joint speeds of about 180°/s. It restrains disarrangement of the ambient atmosphere by keeping its swinging motion to minimum. It keeps the working environment clean with no deposition of dust on the glass substrate it is above the driving structure of the robot. It holds Federal standard 209D, class 10 (equivalent to ISO class four standard) for clean room operation.
SJ series achieve high precision positioning with its “observer control” which restrains generation of vibration. The robots come with the latest Nachi Ax controller which provides high reliability and intelligent control.
