NHP has announced the release of its next generation Terasaki, Tempower 2 air circuit breakers (ACB) 800A~65kA to 4000A~100kA.
Tempower 2 ACBs are the ultimate in compactness with the smallest depth of only 345mm. This small depth saves valuable space in switchboard construction.
More than twenty design patents have been registered for the Tempower 2 ACB, mainly relating to the double break contacts mechanism.
Performance and reliability via the "double break" contact system, ensures fast interruption of short circuit currents at 30ms, less than half that of conventional ACBs.
Standard features such as LSI protection relays provide more than five million combinations of unique time current characteristics, enhancing selectivity when grading with other protection devices.
Other features include increased accessibility from the front, enhancing installation wiring of control circuitry, and installation of accessories. No extra arc space is required and vertical stacking is permitted.
Contactless closing/tripping operation circuitry uses the AGR2 OCR, increasing reliability in operation.
In addition, the reverse power trip function is the first ever for ACBs, negating the need for external reverse power relays when paralleling generators.
An operational panel for centralised indication and control of remote closing and opening, allows the control of up to eight ACBs from the one panel.
