NHP Electrical Engineering Products announces their exclusive distribution agreement with global hazardous area equipment (HAE) specialists, the Cortem Group.
NHP commenced distribution of the extensive Cortem Group product range on 1st March 2012 with Western Australia commencing 1st January, 2013.
The Cortem Group is an established designer and manufacturer of explosion-proof electrical equipment for hazardous areas, supplying a whole range of products and solutions for onshore and offshore applications.
As part of the NHPEx solutions offering, products from Cortem include terminal and control enclosures, custom assemblies, lighting fixtures and plugs and sockets. With the addition of Cortem Group’s hazardous area components to their already established product range, NHPEx can deliver one of the most comprehensive ranges of hazardous area solutions to customers.
Combined with Rockwell Automation and NHP's other supply partners, NHPEx is able to offer a total solution comprising of control devices, terminals, distributed I/Os, tripwire switches, barriers and sight and sound products.
NHP offers the capability to design and build customised assemblies at their Melbourne-based IECEx certified workshop, allowing shorter lead times to both Australian and New Zealand customers. Located at NHP’s National Distribution and Manufacturing Centre in Laverton, the workshop forms an integral part of their hazardous area equipment offering, enabling local customisation to suit the customer’s specific needs and also representing a significant volume of off-the-shelf components.
According to Lloyd Thomas, NHP Managing Director, CEO, the distribution agreement with the Cortem Group will enable NHP to provide their customers with a range of HAE products that are not only tested to high standards, but are customisable to suit the customer’s application thanks to the certified HAE workshop.
