NHP introduces the STAHL range of hazardous area equipment

STAHL range of hazardous area equipment
NHP Electrical Engineering Products (NHP) introduces the STAHL range of hazardous area equipment to the Australian market, adding to its established Steute hazardous range, in order to deliver comprehensive hazardous area solutions. STAHL is an internationally renowned brand and leading product range in the industry. NHP is the sole distributor of STAHL in Australia.
Hazardous location electrical equipment is specifically designed for use in areas that are deemed hazardous by the presence of flammable or explosive materials. Examples of such industries include food/beverage processes, petrochemical, grain handling and chemical industries. The equipment is designed to eliminate the source of ignition that could generate a fire or explosion. Hazardous locations are divided into areas of hazard risk (Zones) and specific equipment needs to be used that is suitable for each zone.
The range of products within the STAHL range is extensive, and is the only range to offer lighting, control devices and automation within one brand. Products are available that meet the requirements for Zones 0, 1, 2 (Gasses liquids and vapours) and zones 20, 21, 22 (Dust).
The STAHL range of products is synonymous with quality and reliability, which is imperative to this industry. To ensure this is maintained, the STAHL product range is IEC Ex certified. This scheme is internationally recognised, with 26 member nations from around the world. NHP has the largest range of IEC Ex certified products in Australia and will expand their range accordingly as more certificates are obtained.
Hazardous industries vary in both size and nature. NHP supplies not only the STAHL range of hazardous area equipment, but more importantly, customer specific solutions. This is achieved via its assembly workshop, with accredited staff to design, construct and inspect the STAHLrange in accordance with the requirements of IEC Ex certification. It allows for custom-build customer requirements including:
- Specialist lighting requirements
- Control Stations (to customer order)
- Terminal boxes (to customer order)
- Full panel design and construction (in both Ex d and Ex de technologies)
- Repair of STAHL equipment
- Wide range of custom-built non-hazardous options
This workshop enables both expeditious and effective solutions for customers and operates under stringent quality assurance guidelines to maintain quality.
The STAHL hazardous area range will complement NHP’s existing product portfolio and will be supported by its extensive distribution network and technical expertise. NHP’s long-term commitment to the Australian market and strong partnership with R. STAHL will also ensure ongoing support for customers.
