Ferret would like to congratulate NHP Electrical Engineering (NHP) on reaching a milestone 40 years servicing the Australasian industrial electronics and components industry.
NHP was founded in 1968 by Nigel Peck as an Australian alternative to the established multinational operators. Four decades on, NHP remains a 100 percent Australian-owned company with sales of over $240m and over 650 employees in 18 branches and 29 regional locations across Australia and New Zealand.
Lloyd Thomas, Managing Director and CEO of NHP, thanked the industry for their support and promised to continue the company’s strong growth.
“In 2008, together with our leading Supply Partner organisations, we celebrate 40 strong years and are proud to celebrate this milestone with our customers,” he said.
“However, while 40 years is a great accomplishment, using a cricket analogy, a batsman does not raise his bat when reaching 40 runs. Therefore we thank everyone who has supported us over the past 40 years and with much enthusiasm we look forward to working together in the future.”
NHP has expanded its market share and stable of solutions each year with a focus on providing a value-add service to the industry through competitive pricing, customer service and technical support, and effective supply chain management.
NHP recently inked an extended partnership deal with Rockwell Automation. Effective from the 1st July, 2009, the deal will see NHP become the sole distributor of Allen-Bradley products across a large part of Australia and all of New Zealand.
“NHP has grown with the Australian electrical industry to now be at the forefront of technology, products and systems,” said Rod Edwards, NHP Director of Sales and Brands.
“Our goal remains the same today as it was 1968: to bring the best industrial products the world has to offer to our customers in Australia and New Zealand.”
Earlier this year NHP opened a new office in Albury in NSW, following on from the success of its Campbelltown distribution centre established last year and its new Brisbane facility in 2006. The company has grown across Australia, with branches in major regional centres such as Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, and Darwin. In 1998 NHP began operations in New Zealand and now has branches serving the industry in Auckland and Christchurch.
NHP specialises in the provision of industrial automation solutions and switchgear components, offering a range of products and systems for power quality, motor control, hazardous area equipment, enclosure systems and power distribution.
The company has staged a number of road shows aimed at educating the industry about safety, and has sponsored several engineering excellence awards in Australia and New Zealand...
