ELEKTRA has extended its switch range to include industrial foot switches. Elektra's FD series foot switches, available from NHP , have been developed for high, mechanical and electrical endurance and suitable for many industrial applications.
Elektra's range of foot switches employ two switching concepts. The first known as latched (progressive) switching, where switching contacts close when the pedal is pressed and remain closed on release. The contacts re-open when the pedal is pressed again.
The second known as momentary switching, where switching contacts close when the pedal is pressed continuously, but when released the contacts open again.
The foot switches are available with safety covers to protect against unintentional operation and a display window, which provides for the indication of the switch position.
They have a switching capacity of 25 amps AC21, up to 690V, an IP65 classification and can be utilised in applications where ambient temperature varies from -15ºC to +60ºC.
Additional options include foot switches with a safety catch, foot switches suitable for speed control via a potentiometer and double-pedal foot switches suitable for forward, reverse motor operation.
