ELEKTRA, represented in Australia by NHP Electrical Engineering Products , has released the S series of cam switches with undervoltage release main switches to aid equipment and personal safety.

Automatic restart of a machine can cause a dangerous situation, either with damage to the machine, work in progress or injury to the operator of the machinery. The automatic start after a power failure and subsequent restoration of power can be safely avoided with an S Series main switch.

The switch has an undervoltage release facility which means that in the instance of a power failure the undervoltage release coil returns the switch to the off position, preventing automatic start up of machinery on restoration of power.

Available in current ranges from 25A to 160A with 240V or 415V control coils. Two mounting options are offered, panel mount and base mount. The 25A switch is also available in a compact IP65 enclosure for easy installation.
