Laser tracker systems used in the international aviation and aerospace industries have now been commissioned by Nepean Engineering. Nepean Engineering’s new Leica AT 901 B Laser tracker provides a fast, precise service to resolve unexplained deviations that often occur in the manufacturing process, resulting in production downtime and recurring non-conformances.
The Leica AT 901 B absolute laser tracker can also be used for positioning machines, fixtures or jigs, installing and aligning machine tools, roll mills, presses and gantry-based machines. Leica AT 901 B laser tracker operating solely with a reflector is optimised for inspections within a measurement volume of up to 160m.
Nepean Engineering have purposely commissioned the new laser tracker to meet the complex and technically demanding requirements of the Australian defence and aviation industries.
Nepean Engineering can undertake work for clients at their Narellan facility in south-west Sydney, or they can provide both the machine and the highly skilled operator on-site at the client’s facility on a fee-for-service basis. Nepean Engineering is a part of Nepean Group .
