Syscan International’s Australian operations have formally entered into a cross-sales arrangement with Goodson Imports, Australian importers and distributors for all Citizen, Samsung/Bixolon, SAM4S, Hand Held Products and Metrologic point-of-sale (POS) products.
An Australian company, with over fifty years of experience, Goodson Imports will utilise the RFID knowledge and services of Syscan International to lift adoption rates of RFID deployment in Australia.
According to Mr Scott Austin, president, Syscan International the agreement is designed to grow their presence in the market.
“Goodson are in the strongest position to support this growth, especially to the retail supply chain across Australia where we expect line item RFID to flourish in 2008,” Mr Austin said.
The agreement gives Goodson the ability to provide best of breed RFID product to its customers by leveraging the knowledge and products from Syscan International.
The partnership will provide Goodson with a Fast Track entry into the RFID category and mean National Coverage for some of Syscan International’s Distribution brands like Alien Technology, Omni-id, Wavetrend and Ipico not to mention a broad range of RFID Labels and Accessories and Syscan’s own RFID solutions such as Ice, i4Cit, Asset Explorer, Suncat, Fastcards and iLims.
“It is one thing to sell hardware, but in the case of RFID we realise that more experience is required to support customers in engineering successful RFID solutions and Syscan has more experience than most in this market,”
