Bluehill expands its multicard brand

Bluehill ID announced today the expansion of its signature Multicard brand into the Netherlands, which follows the recent acquisition of Fastcards in Australia.

After Bluehill ID’s acquisition of Yoonison B.V. earlier in 2009, the Dutch company today announced that it will adopt the name of Multicard, aligning with sister companies in Australia and Europe.

Multicard Netherlands specialises in payment management and identification solutions with a focus on the Benelux and German markets. The company pioneered the Mybility system, offering payment systems used to manage public transport subsidies for disabled and elderly people in the Netherlands.

Multicard Netherlands has been a leading advocate in promoting Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for applications in payment systems. They have significant experience in the personalisation of identification devices such as cards and NFC enabled mobile phones.

Multicard Netherlands has established market leadership in the subsidised public transport and fuel payment markets by managing the related data flows and organising additional services required by users and operators. The company’s roots date back to 1989 and the company has focused on payment solutions and identity management since 1997.

All the main product and service brands of Yoonison including Mybilitliy, Mybility Fuel, Yoonidata and Cashless Payment shall continue under the Multicard brand. The official name change to Multicard Netherlands goes into effect immediately.
