Identification technology company Multicard Australia, formerly Fastcards , has announced that their sister company Arygon Technologies have launched an innovative Multi-ISO HF Reader for ISO 14443 and 15693 applications covering DES and AES encryption and PC/SC for RS232.
The Multi-ISO HF Reader supports all major contactless and RFID High-frequency standards in a small cost efficient form factor.
Mr Scott Austin, President of Multicard Australia said “The unique Multi-ISO HF Desktop and OEM Reader is designed for ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 15693/18000-3 Mode 1 based applications, offering unique features in a small cost efficient design, while utilising the existing PC/SC standard for USB and also uniquely for the RS232 interface,”
Unique features of the new multi-ISO HF Reader include:
- Firmware capable of highest security features at reasonable cost, because of no additional Hardware
- Use the same reader for fast and easy integration, scalability and maintenance of existing ISO 14443 and 15693 transponder deployments within separated and converging applications in any USB and RS232 environment
- Patented innovative Antenna Design for high speed applications
According to Mr Austin the new Multi-ISO HF card readers are suitable for various applications in Person ID and HF Object ID and is a highly innovative and flexible device.
“Additionally it anticipates major market trends towards higher security (DES, 3DES and AES encryption), standard-based applications in PC and mobile environments along all hardware interfaces. (e.g. RS232, USB, etc.) and therefore a trend towards converging applications’.
“The new Multi-ISO HF Reader design opens up a new generation of future ARYGON contactless readers. The innovative design platform was generated by close cooperation with Arygon customers and their needs, allowing us to accelerate dedicated product deployments for contactless payment, transportation and e-doc markets like passports and ID cards.” Mr Austin said.
The ARYGON Multi-ISO HF Reader is available as a desktop and OEM version with RS232 Interface or USB.
