Mr Drains’ sewerage services for preventing wildlife casualties

During the bird nesting season Mr Drains was called out to clear many blocked sewers, which were the result of birds nesting in and on top of sewer stack and vent lines with damaged or missing vent cowls.

The native birds like an Rainbow Lorikeet like to nest in hollows in trees and will mistake a sewer stack/vent to be one dropping twigs, rubbish, other foreign matter and even falling themselves down the line.

Having all vents checked to make sure the cowls are not missing and are in good condition could help save the native wildlife and also save the cost of a blocked sewer.
