Leading industrial automation specialist, Moxa Inc. has launched high-bandwidth industrial Ethernet solutions aimed at HD IP surveillance for safety-critical applications such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and railway wayside/station industries.
Moxa's high-bandwidth (up to 10 Gbps for wired and 300 Mbps for 802.11n wireless) edge-to-core solutions enable secure high-speed wired and wireless HD video streams for real-time live viewing and event playback. A full range of PoE/PoE+ industrial Ethernet switches with up to 36W power output is also available to power heavy-duty HD IP cameras.
Moxa’s proprietary Turbo Chain technology provides sub-20 millisecond redundancy recovery and allows network expansions without the need for system downtime. Moxa also offers a range of wide-temperature products (-40 to 75°C), including HD IP cameras that are tested to perform in severe conditions without the need for a heater or fan.
According to Ray Hsu, product manager at Moxa Inc., market research confirms an ever-increasing need for HD-quality video monitoring across many industrial sectors around the globe. However, many of Moxa’s clients are unfamiliar with the planning and deployment of high-definition video surveillance networks. In addition to industrial-grade edge-to-core network solutions, Moxa also offers their customers more than 25 years of industrial networking experience to help them design and implement HD surveillance networks with consistent availability and long-term scalability.
Moxa’s network design service, PiNS (Professional Industrial Networking Services) recently provided consultation services to a national train station operator for the deployment of a high-bandwidth, high-definition video surveillance network.
