Motorola Australia announces the expansion of the MOTOTRBO radio portfolio with new digital capable versions.

MOTOTRBO is a family of digital-capable two way radios from Motorola Solutions that offer superb audio quality, excellent durability, and powerful vertical market driven data applications and devices making it a deeply trusted digital technology for the professional and commercial user segments. Since its introduction in Australia and New Zealand in 2008, more than a million MOTOTRBO units have been sold, from feature-rich voice and data radios to simple voice-only portables.

Further expanding the existing portfolio of digital radios, the new models in the MOTOTRBO range meet the needs of users from across key markets such as manufacturing, retail, hospitality, private security and services with additional price points and choice of form factors.

The DP3441 series consists of compact and portable radios that deliver a full suite of MOTOTRBO voice and data features in a tough, waterproof package. Designed to fit in the palm of the hand, the digital radio delivers GPS, Bluetooth and system capabilities typically seen in much larger radios. The IP67-rated radio can operate reliably in wet and dusty environments.

Motorola also announces the development of 800 MHz and 900 MHz versions of its iconic and award winning SL Series. To be available in late 2013, the new products will give more customers the opportunity to experience the sleek and smart digital two-way radio.

New variants have also been announced for the 800/900 MHz bands in the DP4000 Series portable radios first launched in 2012. These radios offer proven top tier enhanced voice, data, and application capabilities, including Bluetooth, and a built-in GPS receiver.

Motorola is also introducing a remote mount control head option for the DM4000 Series radios, allowing separation of the control panel and the radio by up to five metres and putting the mobile radio within the reach of the driver in specialist vehicles.

According to Gary Starr, vice president and managing director, Motorola Solutions Australia and New Zealand, the single MOTOTRBO digital radio has been expanded into a portfolio of more than 20 different models in the span of a few years with key markets in Australia and New Zealand leading in the adoption of this new digital technology globally.
