The assembly's simple, compact design offers multiple benefits, including easy modification for custom applications demanding precision, reliability and value.
The NTB assembly is currently being used in a wide range of industries, including medical, data storage, engraving, semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, automated assembly, printing and scanning.
Using a Kerk patented take-up mechanism, the NTB series maintains axial stiffness while system torque is held to a minimum, providing smooth operation and long life throughout its load and speed range.
The NTB series assembly eliminates the need to highly preload the nut to compensate for load.
The NTB series is available in standard configurations with flange or thread mounts, and can handle dynamic loads of up to 200 pounds.
Due to its design, the custom NTB nuts can be machined or molded in an infinite variety of shapes and sizes, from miniature nuts less than 3/8" diameter, to complex multi-function molded components with an integrated nut.
Using one of the many Kerkite polymers, special environmental or load capabilities can be provided.
Manufactured with a self-lubricating acetal, the nut is designed to run efficiently on Kerk's precision rolled shafting.
The screws are 303 stainless and are available with Kerk's proprietary long-life TFE coating, which eliminates the need for external lubrication and maintenance.
