PARKER Hannifin, represented in Australia by Motion Solutions , has released the XRS cartesian robot module, pre-engineered to optimise workspaces, simplify selection, shorten delivery and lower costs.
Linear servo motor and ballscrew drive technology is optimised for automation applications. The systems are offered in three sizes and 124 standard variations.
The strip seal design provides IP30 protection. Pre-installed air, power and signal lines are routed to moving payload for convenient hook-up and log life operation. The cable management system has high-flex shielded cables with quick disconnect. Dowel holes allows repeatable mounting of tooling to robot and robot module to machine.
All axes are aligned and pinned orthogonal so that axes may be removed and re-atttached with factory precision.
The small systems are designed for light loads and shorter travels. The X-Y work area is 600mm x 300mm and its maximum load is 5kg. The medium systems have an X-Y work area of 850mm x 600mm and a maximum load 12kg, while the large systems have an X-Y work area of 1000mm x 1000mm and a maximum load of 25kg.
