Out of the seven Series of Helical couplings that Motion Solutions Australia stock, the A Series is the most economical. It is a general purpose coupling, made from aluminium and is light to medium duty. These couplings are maintenance free and can be used in a wide range of applications. The A Series of couplings are Helical's most popular.

On the other end of the scale is the W Series of couplings.  There are two types of couplings in this Series, the first is constructed from aluminium and the second is the stainless steel version with higher torque capacity and torsional stiffness.

The aluminium couplings are light to medium duty and are ideal for those wanting to work in the metric system. They are general purpose and used for encoder/resolver applications and low torque pump, lead screw applications.

Compared to other couplings the W Series stainless steel couplings have increased fatigue resistance and are used in situations that require a heavy duty coupling such as for pump, lead screws and positioning systems. They are also suitable for use in industrial process equipment.

The DS Series of couplings are suited to high speed motion control systems such as lead and ball screws and encoders/resolvers. Any situation where high torsional stiffness and fast response time is essential. These couplings are manufactured from aluminium and are a low inertia, high performing coupling. They use Helical's double start technology, are torsionally stiffer and have a higher torque capacity than the A Series of couplings.

Motion Solutions Australia also stocks the H Series, MCA Series, and the MC7 Series of Helical couplings. More detailed information about all Helical couplings can be found on the Motion Solutions Australia website.
