CSA International has certified Moore Industries ’ BH field-mount instrumentation enclosures as explosion-proof.
The BH enclosures provide protection for field-mounted hockey-puck instruments. The housing meets standards for enclosing indoor and outdoor electronic instruments approved for use in explosion-proof, dust-ignition proof and intrinsically-safe locations.
With the new certificate, the BH equipment rating is as follows:
- Class I, Groups A, B, C and D
- Class II, Groups E, F and G
- Class III
- Type 4X, IP66
Prior approvals include Factory Mutual (FM) Explosion-Proof, Dust-Ignition Proof and NEMA 4X, IP66 as well as ATEX Flame-Proof certifications.
Meeting NEMA 4X and IP66 ratings, the BH housing is resistant to ultraviolet rays and chemicals. Its high impact structure protects instruments even in harsh field conditions.
With the new cCSAus Certificate of Conformity, the BH model field-mount enclosures have been certified as explosion-proof, added as ‘Part B’ to the existing certificate issued for Moore Industries’ SB Stainless Steel, Explosion-Proof Enclosure for Hockey-Puck Instruments.
