THE unique and innovative Mobicon container handler recently set sail for the US, South Africa and Europe after celebrating their 50th machine manufactured.
Inventor and Managing Director of Mobicon, Tom Schults says this confirms the success of the container handler in Australia and New Zealand.
Once 50 Mobicon's were sold in the domestic market, the company looked at expanding into the exporting scene.
Mobicon is an Australian manufactured container handler. The Mobicon company assembles the machines in Queensland.
With strategic pre-planning, Mobicon has doubled their manufacturing capacity, expanded their Zillmere assembly facility and are now ready to export.
The recent expansion into the US, Europe and South Africa has assured Mobicon of a long-term goal of success, according to Mr Schults.
The Mobicon has the lightest axle loading of any container handler in the world and is uniquely positioned in the market because of its innovative design, which includes the ability to manage any sized ISO container with one machine and has a 33t handling capacity.
The Mobicon client portfolio is a who's-who in the transport, materials handling and distribution industries and includes key players like Toll Holdings, Australian Customs, Sadleirs Transport, Booth Transport, Patrick, K&S Freighters, General Motors, Kagan, Smorgon, Laminex and Simon National Carriers.
Mr Schults says the best thing about the Mobicon is that it is ideally suited for all sized companies. Even smaller players that handle a minimum of five containers a week will reap the cost effectiveness of this machine, according to Mr Schults.
Mobicon clients also includes smaller food, beverage and manufacturing companies and many Mobicons are used in smaller yards and operations.
