Following an extensive review of their workforce management processes, Sennheiser Ireland made the decision to implement Mitrefinch Time and Attendance system as their existing TMS system was no longer able to meet their evolving business needs.
According to Frank Concannon, IT Manager, “Since installing Mitrefinch TMS overall employee attendance has improved. TMS has enabled us to keep a better audit of employee time-keeping and attendance while managers can run reports using the report writer, which in turn has led to an increase in productivity. Forward planning is of vital importance to us as we implement a 24-hour rostering system.”
Mitrefinch’s ODBC interface enables Sennheiser to integrate with their other business systems. The Auto ID card software functionality also allows them to design and print their own ID cards, which can be used to aid the security of the plant, particularly as the company moves towards having a 24-hour a day shift rotation roster.
This represents a huge time saver for Sennheiser as recording and accessing data from swipe cards is instantaneous. In addition, by linking this information to the fire alarm, they are now able to produce an automatic fire report every time the fire panel is activated.
Sennheiser has also installed Mitrefinch’s access control hardware and software operating from the same database to control the movement of employees and visitors within various parts of the plant.
Sennheiser can now restrict access and report on attempted violations through the audit trail.
Concannon says that the selection of Mitrefinch over competitors was an easy choice to make as they could offer a versatile system that provided the ability to interlink with other software systems, combined with great support and a professional attitude.
