A couple of years ago, power equipment provider Harrington Generators International Limited (HGI) made the decision to replace their paper based time and attendance process with an automated time management system from Mitrefinch Australia in an effort to boost productivity and organisational efficiency.
According to Production Manager, James Grant, after over 30 years in the business HGI required an easy to use and efficient system which could help eliminate unplanned absences and allow managers to store employee information centrally.
"Above all, we wanted a time and attendance solution which would give supervisors greater control and confidence as they handled the workforce,” says Grant.
A great deal of research into the variety of time and attendance systems on the market was carried out and Grant eventually came up with a short list of three potential suppliers. In the end it was the Mitrefinch Time Management System that stood due to its ease of use and reasonable price.
The Mitrefinch Time Management System was installed in two buildings at HGI’s Derbyshire HQ and has already prove to be a great success.
"Our managers have used the inbuilt Bradford Factor Report to identify and monitor serial absentees and I’ve been surprised by the overall positive response of the staff to the system,” says Grant.
“I’ve also appreciated the excellent training and support that we’ve received since the Mitrefinch system was implemented. The Mitrefinch Helpdesk has been a tremendous help and I was very impressed with the Implementation Team," he concludes.
The Mitrefinch Time and Attendance System has provided HGI management with the confidence and control they need to manage their workforce with greater efficiency.
